Anjelika Krishna is a native of New Delhi , India and a merit scholar graduate of The Art Institute of Chicago. After earning her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Design she moved to New York City to work as a designer for Ralph Lauren and later, Liz Claiborn Inc. Anjelika has long incorporated her traditional Indian culture and art into her Western designs.
Her company, a.d.o (anjelika dreams organic), represents her commitment to sustainable and eco friendly textiles in the Indian tradition of Ayurvasta.
Anjelika's work has been featured in exhibitions sponsored by the Contemporary Arts Council of Chicago and The Chicago Reader and Art Forum.
In 2003, she was nominated for the Richard H. Driehaus Fashion Excellence Award.
Anjelika is now married, lives and works in Jersey City, New Jersey. She is a strong supporter of local businesses and independent retailers in her community.
